Made some lovely little bookmarks,  They are silver plated with various charms attached that dangle

Trying Something New

After pondering for a while,  I thought I would have a go a making some jewellery. 
Started simple with earings and bracelet.

Have just agreed to have a stall at our local summer fete in June.   I will be selling my cards, candles, and hopefully now some jewellery.

Here is a  picture of what I have made so far.  Found a square of clear perspex and some dark red felt Covered the perspex using my good old Collall glue to make a temporary display board.

All Things Vintage

 

Whilst at the NEC today, wandering around the Sewing section we saw a display of some very old Smocked dresses.  It reminded me of a card I had made from one of my Crafters Companions die cut decoupage kits I had bought.   The one in question is Christine Haworth Paintbox Poppets.  It is a young girl from yesteryear on a bicycle and flowers in her hair.    It is a beautiful picture and one that I think shows how times have changed for our children today with the advent of computer games and such.    I would like to enter this into the March "Vintage" Blog Competition.
